The town of Lac La Biche, Alberta is a strong and vibrant community north-east of Edmonton. The owners of the TRU Hardware in town, Tony and Kathy Marczak, believe in their community; their store has supported the community for generations. Tony and Kathy made a donation to help open the new multiplex facility in town. Through donations, like the Marczak's, the town now boasts a state of the art facility that offers residents the chance to embrace healthy and active lifestyles.
The new facility, The Bold Centre, opened in 2010 and offers programs and activities for youth and adults. The multiplex, with its’ twin arenas, facilitates hockey, curling, a running track, a weight room, a multi-function hall and more. The Marczak's contribution was rewarded with their store name on a dressing room.
